After an 18-year-long wait, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally lifted their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title and are set to celebrate the landmark win with a grand victory parade in Bengaluru.

RCB players will arrive in the city this afternoon and take part in a ticker-tape parade from Vidhana Soudha to the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the heart of cricket in Bengaluru. Celebrations will kick off from 6 PM inside the stadium, where thousands of fans are expected to join in the festivities.

Before the parade, RCB players will meet Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar at Vidhana Soudha. Preparations are already underway for the celebratory event, marking a historic moment not only for the team but for millions of RCB fans across the country.

RCB clinched the title on Tuesday after edging out Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a thrilling final. The win was particularly emotional as it marked the first-ever IPL title for Virat Kohli, who has been with the franchise since its inception.

RCB posted 190/9 in 20 overs, thanks to valuable contributions from Virat Kohli (43), Rajat Patidar (26), Jitesh Sharma (24), and Liam Livingstone (25). PBKS fought back with strong performances from Josh Inglis (39) and Shashank Singh (61*), but ultimately fell short, finishing at 184/7 despite a spirited last over.

Skipper Rajat Patidar, who lifted the trophy, received wide praise for leading the team to its first championship win. The final also marked a bittersweet moment for PBKS, whose wait for an IPL title continues, having reached their second final and first in 11 years.

As celebrations erupt across Bengaluru, RCB’s long-awaited triumph has finally turned dreams into reality for their loyal fanbase.
